Feldspar is a silicate mineral forming various structures in Igneous, Metamorphic, and Sedimentary rocks. Feldspar minerals have very comparable structures, chemical compositions, and bodily properties. The feldspar group of minerals consists of tectosilicates, silicate minerals in which silicon ions are linked by shared oxygen ions to form a three-dimensional network. Compositions of major elements in common Feldspars are: Orthoclase (KAlSi3O8), Albite (NaAlSi3O8), and Anorthite (CaAl2Si2O8 mineral compositions).
 
The minerals derives its current name from German “Feldspat” a dual of Field “Feld” and Flake “Spat” due to the abundance of this mineral on the surface of the Earth and its occurrence of chemical weathering in open areas. The changing to Feldspar is from the English “Spar” referring to a non-opaque mineral with good cleavage; “Felsic” reffered to light coloured minerals such as Quartz.
 
Alkali Feldspars are grouped into two types: those containing potassium in combination with sodium, aluminium, or silicon; and those where potassium is replaced by barium. The Plagioclase Feldspars are Triclinic these Anorthite devired structures could be: Albite (NaAlSi3O8), Oligoclase ( (Na,Ca)(Al,Si)AlSi2O8), Andesine (3 NaAlSi3O8—CaAl2Si2O8), Labradorite ((Ca,Na)Al(Al,Si)Si2O8), Bytownite ((NaSi,CaAl)AlSi2O8), Anorthite (CaAl2Si2O.8). Garnet is a magnesium aluminum silicate mineral containing iron and chromium, they form in igneous rocks under immense pressure and heat. Garnet is usually a deep red, with varieties of orange, brown and bright green colours. 
 
Starting as micro granules in a Schist Matrix they form alongside many minerals growing at conversant pate boundaries whereby shale responds to metamorphism and immense pressure causes chemical bonds to break and re crystallize.
